Foggy Reads, among other things...

Catching up on books I should have read long ago. Welcome to my personal website, which I mainly use to post book reviews - but also movie or music reviews, and anything else that comes to mind.

But why does your site look like this?

Hoping to create my own slice of the internet, from scratch. No ads, no corporations, no AI. Just want to write and post, and not worry about WordPress, Blogger, or anything else. So, this site is going to be a bunch of webpages stiched together - just explore the links on the right, left, or top, and you'll see what I mean. And, the added benefit that I learn some coding. As my HTML skills get better, so will this site. But hopefully you will still enjoy it in its infancy.

Whatever happened to Web 1.0? I want to create a site that is personal, but in the style of the times when people would code up sites just to do something and explore the then-infant Internet. Inspiration for this site comes from vaporwave art and music, "indie" website communities (such as the now-defunct GeoCities, NeoCities, and the IndieWeb), and of course, my own memory. Maybe this is just nostalgia bait; but it's a fun project nonetheless.
